Here we have our McGann-style sonic. These are hand machined from aluminium, brass and stainless steel and feature sound with a convenient rechargeable battery.
It weighs just over 130g and is around 20cm long when extended.
The exterior is polished aluminium and the stripe on the handle is solid brass to prevent damage. The emitter is also a hard wearing and is made from machine grade plastic, so no paint chips. The sliding mechanism is a simple push down to lock and push down to unlock.
The sound is clear and loud and easily heard at Comic-cons and is activated by pushing the small button on the neck. This uses the sound very simiar to the Mcgann movie sound. This is all powered by a rechargeable battery and convenient charging port in the base of the handle. Its supplied with a charging lead, which can be plugged in to any USB socket. Computer, phone charger etc.
This is not a toy, as it is made of metal so not suitable for very young children.
The sonic is made to order so please allow 6 to 8 weeks for delivery after payment. I do supply update pictures during the build, so you can see it come together. Delivery charges are £15 for UK tracked and £25 minimum for outside the UK - please contact me first if you aren't in the UK.

This is easily the best replica if this sonic that I have seen. The pop-up is easy to activate and smoothly deploys. The sound effects are accurate to the TV movie rather than just reusing the standard sonic buzz and the sound is loud and clear. It looks extra wonderful with a polished brass bullet - available on request. Paul McGann himself takes one of these to conventions and told me himself how amazing be thinks it is so this one is definitely a must have.
Finally someone made a replica that pops up extends and has the sounds!? I was giddy ordering the sonic and this lasted right away up until delivery where expectations were met and exceeded. If you think about ordering it, do it. No regrets. Good sound, gorgeous finish and excellent battery life.
